Dr. Happy is a Medical Expert Witness who is a Board Certified Anatomic and Forensic Pathologist. He is currently an Assistant Medical Examiner in San Francisco and has a specialty in Neuropathology, which includes cerebral trauma. Of the 2500 autopsies he has performed, a quarter to a third involve car accidents.
Dr. Happy did Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Rhode Island College, Providence, RI from August 1989 to May 1993. After that he studied Doctor of Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, MO from July 1993 to May 1997.
Dr. Happy was Chief Medical Examiner at Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office in Milwaukee, WI from August 2008 to April 2010. He is also an Assistant Professor of Forensic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI since September 2008.
Dr. Happy has also done Presentation and Research work which includes From Personalized Medicine to Personalized Justice – Assembling the Framework with Pharmacogenomics and Assessing its Applicability to the Justice System (Guest Editorial in Pharmacogenomics in June 2010) and The Role of Novel Volume Expanders in the Resuscitation of Hemorrhagic Shock and its Effect on Hepatic Function and Flow (Presentation at the 28th Annual Meeting of the Missouri Chapter of the American College of Surgeons in July 1995).
