Kelly Allen, CPA, MST, CVA, CFF, ABAR, MAFF is a Tax Accounting Expert Witness and a Certified Public Accountant. He was NACVA Credentialing Chairman of the Board in 2018. He was appointed to CalCPA’s Committee on Taxation for 2015-2016. He also serves on AICPA’s Editorial Advisory Board.
Mr. Allen did BS of Accounting (Minor Economics) from the University of Redlands in 1996, Master’s in Taxation from the Golden Gate University in 2011 and Master Accountant Financial Forensics in 2014, among other certifications.
Mr. Allen has been retained, testified and/or acted as a consultant to legal counsel many times in various State and Federal matters. He has Prepared reports concerning net winner/net-loser arguments for Ponzi-related schemes; evaluated and opined upon the feasibility of proposed chapter 11 plans; and prepared and documented preferential payments for use in US Bankruptcy Court matters.
Mr. Allen has also evaluated corporate capitalization, fiscal management and related party transactions in connection with piercing the corporate veil, corporate value and misappropriation of funds litigation. In addition, he has prepared and reported upon business values. Reviewed and critiqued reports of valuation professionals for possible errors in application, theory or compliance with professional standards.
