Greg J. Monfette, CA, ISACA, ISACT, CTRA is a Technical Expert Witness and a Registered Consulting Arborist, an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Tree Worker, and a Certified Tree Risk Assessor. He states that determining the replacement cost of trees is something he deals with all the time.
Mr. Monfette retired in November, 2015 as Superintendent I in the Urban Forestry Division for the City of Los Angeles, where he managed one of the largest street tree populations in the nation. He is also owner of his own company, established in 1983.
As a Tree Surgeon at the Urban Forestry Division – Bureau of Street Services, City of Los Angeles, Mr. Monfette performed climbing, trimming, treating, planting and removing trees. He sprayed trees with aerial spray equipment. Along with that, he conducted training sessions and followed city safety rules, and responded to all emergency tree call situation.
Mr. Monfette has also taken various Career Enhancement Development Courses such as Voice & Articulation, Spanish Conversation, and Electrical Craft Helper at the Los Angeles Community College; Electrical Hazards Awareness Program; Future Focused Leadership Training Program for City Managers; and Supervision in Public Works Productivity Improvement.
