Gregory T. Whitman, M.D. is a Neurology Expert Witness and a Board Certified Neurologist who certified in 2000 and recertified in 2010 and 2020. He did a Fellowship at UCLA in Otoneurology/Neuro-Otology, a Neurology subspecialty that focuses on vestibular disorders, dizziness, gait and balance. He began practicing Neurology in 1998. He has served as an expert witness, writing reports, and providing expert testimony since approximately 2006.
Dr. Whitman earned BA in Biochemistry from College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University and MD from University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine from Boston University. Furthermore, he did a couple of residencies in Neurology from Boston City Hospital and Tufts New England Medical Center.
Dr. Whitman has extensive experience with almost all areas of Neurology practice.
He is former faculty at UC Irvine, UCLA and Harvard and a former Neurology Residency Program Director at UC Irvine. He also practiced General Neurology in Los Angeles where he was on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Whitman has extensive experience reading vestibular function tests, including VNG and rotatory chair tests; experience reading autonomic function tests, EEG, and EMG-nerve conduction studies. Additionally, he has subspecialty experience in primary treatment of patients with cognitive and autonomic nervous system disorders, and has practice experience at multiple top ranked hospitals such as: Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Cedars Sinai Medical Center and UCLA.
