Dr. Hendin – a Medical expert witness, is a Board Certified neurologist with over 40 years of experience. Dr. Hendin’s extensive career includes working as Chief of Neurology at Wright-Patterson AFB for two years and as Chief of Neurology for 35 years for Good Samaritan Hospital. Currently, he is practicing at Phoenix Neurological Associates, Ltd, and is a Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Arizona Medical School–a position he has held for over 25 years.
Dr. Hendin received his Medical degree at Washington University Medical School in 1968. He has received numerous honours and awards throughout his career including Health Professional of the Year, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Arizona Chapter, 2007 & 2009.
Dr. Hendin has been involved in several peer-reviewed publications including Effect of chronic anticonvulsant therapy on serum 25-OH vitamin D levels. Clinical Research 1972; 20:238, Effect of anticonvulsant therapy on serum 25-Hydroxycholecalciferol in adults. New Eng Jour of Med 1972; 297:900-904 and CNS parenchymatous degeneration in childhood leukemia which was presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, April 1972.
He is also the Principal Investigator for quite a few Research Protocols which includes Protocol # E301. DHE-45 Nasal Spray for headache, Protocol # GHBA-903. Sumatriptan for headache, Protocol # IX-101 002. IV Nalmefene for stroke, Protocol # 303. Mentane HP 029 for Alzheimer’s disease and Protocol # 945-090. Gabapentin for epileptic seizures, and has also given many major presentations in his career such as American College of Physicians – Management of Cerebrovascular Disease, November 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1988, Arizona Medical Association – Prevention of Cerebrovascular Disease, June 1987 and Arizona Academy of Family Physicians – Management of Cerebrovascular Disease, Current Management of Epilepsy, June 1989 to name a few.
