Biomedical Engineering Expert (BIO-1762)

Biomedical Engineering Expert. BIO-1762 provides independent consulting on medical device issues, drawing on his experience in biomedical engineering. This experience includes, most recently, his leadership of a Vascular Graft Research Group that improved patency of synthetic vascular grafts and identified mechanisms of vascular graft failure. Previously he was an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Memphis, where he investigated the influence of fluid shear on vascular cell function and assisted the faculty of the University of Tennessee Medical Center in developing a sensitive laser optical method for measuring changes in smooth muscle elasticity. He has also been a biomedical software consultant for Radian Corporation and a fluid mechanics consultant for Research and Engineering Consultants, both in Austin, Texas.
