Dr. Goldman was a Categorical Surgery Resident at Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He completed a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, and a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA.

Dr. Goldman has received several honors throughout his career including Surgical Educator of the Year at David Grant Medical Center (1996 and 1998); Surgical Educator of the Year at University of California, Davis (2001); and Outstanding Surgical Attending at West Virginia University (2007).
