Dr. Brooks was a Resident in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh; and did a Toxicology Fellowship at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. Brooks is currently the Vice-Chair in the Department of Medical Toxicology at the Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix; and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Campus.
