Don L. Pruitt, Jr. is an EMT/Paramedic Expert Witness who holds an EMS Instructor/Coordinator Paramedic License. He was a United States Marine Corps Reserve where the Highest rank that he held was Staff Sergeant. He also served as Platoon Sergeant and Storage Chief for two years. As Platoon Sergeant, there were approximately 45 Marines under his command.
Mr. Pruitt received a Paramedic Diploma from Lanier Technical Institute at Oakwood, Georgia and did Bachelor of Arts in which he majored in Political Science from University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
Currently, Mr. Pruitt is Program Chair – EMS Education at Athens Technical College, Athens, Georgia. His duties include providing classroom instruction for initial education in the EMT, AEMT, and Paramedicine courses. He is also the Lead Paramedicine Instructor.
Mr. Pruitt’s additional responsibilities are the management of 30+ part-time hourly employees, two Adjunct Instructors, maintenance and operation of approximately $500,000 in assets, and requesting and managing multiple budgets used in the initial and continuing education of consumers of the Athens Technical College EMS Education programs.
