Dr. Droll is a Human Factors/Lighting Expert Witness located in Orange County. Currently, he is a Human Factors Scientist at MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists, a position that he has held since 2010. His key responsibilities include conducting human factors analyses to assess the performance and behavior of drivers, pedestrians, and occupational workers.
Dr. Droll studied Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California in Santa Cruz where he minored in Philosophy. After that, he did Master of Science in Brain and Cognitive Science, and Doctor of Philosophy in Brain and Cognitive Science from the University of Rochester.
Dr. Droll states he has worked on over 100 lighting cases. He goes on to say that 20-50 of these cases involved truck lighting issues and that he has gone to trial on a couple of these cases. Approximately 80% of his work is automotive related.
Dr. Droll has been the author of several peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and some other publications as well. He has also given numerous lectures and presentations, as well as abstracts/poster presentations.
