John E. Muse, MSCE, PE is an Accident Reconstruction/Biomechanics Expert Witness and has over 40 years of experience in accident reconstruction, biomechanics and transportation safety. Mr. Muse is an Accredited Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR), and a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Mr. Muse states that the majority of the cases he works on are motor vehicle accident cases. He has done about 5,000 Accident Reconstructions.
Mr. Muse was awarded highest honors in Civil Engineering while pursuing his Bachelor’s from the University of Illinois. He went on to earn a Masters in Civil Engineering.
Mr. Muse is an expert in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, transportation safety, human factors, civil engineering and legal research, throughout the United States and Canada. Accident reconstruction expert witness services have included analysis of many vehicular, bus, truck motorcycle, pedestrian fall, bridge, roadway, railroad, building safety, amusement park, water park, parking lot, speed bump/hump, wheelchair, aviation facility and product liability accidents, including biomechanical analysis and computerized animation.
Mr. Muse is recognized as an expert in Municipal Court, Superior Court in many states plus Federal Court, in both civil, criminal and worker’s compensation matters. He has performed legal research, in multiple sates, to determine the law applicable to cases, and testified in court as an expert in the application of case law, vehicle codes, MUTCD, buiding codes and CACI instructions.
