Julie R. Ohayon, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Medical Expert Witness and a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a Certificate of Added Qualification, Surgery of the Hand. She says “I have taken care of many patients with fibromyalgia who also have orthopedic injuries. My ratio is 90% defense, 10% plaintiff. I have testified at trial 3 times in the past year.”
Dr. Ohayon received her B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA), both with Distinction, Phi Beta Kappa and M.D. from Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA), cum laude.
Dr. Ohayon did her Hand Fellowship under direction of H. Kirk Watson with rotations at Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and University of Connecticut Health Center from 2003 to 2004. She was also a Categorical General Surgical Resident, Department of General Surgery at University of California in San Francisco.
Dr. Ohayon has been a part of a couple of publications as well. These are:- “Is There Gender Bias in JAMA’s Peer Review Process?” JAMA. 1994; 272:139-143 and “Evolving Trends in Liver Transplantation: An Outcome and Charge Analysis.” Transplantation. 1999; 67:246-253.
