Michael Neff, M.S., P.E. is a Metallurgical Engineer/Materials Engineer/Failure Analysis Expert Witness who has experience in analysis of engineered materials, systems and designs with specific expertise in metal, contamination/corrosion control and failure analysis, including investigation and interpretation of test results.
Mr. Neff received his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering and M.S. in Materials Engineering specializing in Solidification Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and has taught on a college level. He has worked on approximately 7000 failed parts and failure analyses with written reports.
Mr. Neff is a past president and current member of the Independent Metallurgical Engineers of California (IMECA). He is also a member of ASTM and former affiliate and committee member of ASM International, Metallorgraphic Society and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
Mr. Neff has experience in a wide range of disciplines, including the research, industrial, and legal sectors. Additionally, he has command of a broad range of hardware and software tools.
