Michael V. Nicholas, B.S. – a Safety Expert Witness, is a safety and operations expert with over 30 years of experience. He is a Former President of the International Association of Safety and Security, and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is a Certified Safety and Security Director and is OSHA certified. Mr. Nicholas does safety consulting for retail stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and many other types of businesses.
Mr. Nicholas worked for Smart & Final, Sears, Montgomery Ward, and a couple insurance companies before becoming a consultant. He currently consults with 75 companies in the retail, wholesale, and manufacturing arenas in safety, public liability, and workers compensation.
Mr. Nicholas is a Former Loss Control Manager for a supermarket chain with 100 locations and employees in excess of 10,000 and Senior Loss Control Consultant for Fremont Compensation Insurance Company where he was in charge of their largest accounts in three states. He has also worked with the Furniture Industry since 1990.
Mr. Nicholas is a Qualified Expert Witness on safety issues and liability matters in Los Angeles County, Orange County and various other counties. He is knowledgeable in environmental issues, i.e., asbestos removal and encapsulation and industrial hygiene exposures involving workers who use chemicals.
