Neil E. Doherty III, M.D., F.A.C.C. is an Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Expert Witness and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with a Cardiovascular Subspecialty Board Certification. He also has Special Competency in Cardiac Pacing. In addition, he has a Subspecialty Board in Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Doherty received his B.A. (Honors: Developmental Psychology) from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and M.D. from Harvard Medical School in Boston. He did his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Doherty was the Cardiology Director at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital for 8 years. He served on the Board of Directors, Western States Affiliate, of the American Heart Association for 3 years. Dr. Doherty received the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award in 1998. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Doherty is a founding member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also the founder, past president and former chairman of the American Heart Association’s Glendora Branch. Dr. Doherty has also been on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association’s Los Angeles chapter. He is an associate member of the Heart Rhythm Society (formerly NASPE).
