Nurse Expert. NUR-1580 began her legal nurse consulting practice in 1980. She is experienced in deposition, arbitration and courtroom testimony; review, interpretation and analysis of medical records; and on-site investigations. The types of cases NUR-1580 has been involved in have included standards-of-care issues, wrongful death, wrongful termination, nursing negligence/malpractice, and falls. She has given testimony in cases involving such health care units as medical surgical, obstetrics, recovery room, prehospital care, emergency department services, clinics, intensive care, long-term care, and home health. NUR-1580 has been a practicing emergency department nurse for over 30 years. She is also a nursing, emergency medical technician, and health education professor at a local community college.
