Rhonda A. Culton, M.A. is a Child Care Expert Witness who has been working with young children for over 20 years. She currently mentors in-home Family Childcare Providers & Child Care Center Directors on behalf of the California Early Childhood Mentor Program. For the past 10 years she has worked to improve preschool/daycare programs as a Childcare Consultant.
Ms. Culton obtained her BA degree in Human Development from Minor Child Development Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena, CA in 2001 and MA degree in Human Development from Minor Social Change, Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena, CA in 2006.
As a consultant, Ms. Culton creates Pre-School and Parent Handbooks and assists with attaining State Licensing for programs; she also provides insight and direction for site set-up, age appropriate equipment, room arrangement, staff relationships, improving the work place and Special Needs training for child care facilities.
In the past, Ms. Culton has owned and operated her own child care facility and has been as an Early Interventionist/Infant Specialist for special needs children ages 0-3. her duties included visiting their homes on a weekly basis, conducting assessments on their development progress, writing quarterly reports, etc. She is the author of “Chicken Nuggets: The Preschool Teacher’s Golden Nuggets of Wisdom,” a book for childcare providers, directors, owners and educators.
