Ron Matranga, BCMA, RCA, TRAQ – a Master Arborist/Arborist Expert Witness is a Board Certified Master Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture. Prior to his Board Certification in 2007, he was a Certified Arborist, beginning in 1991. He has been a Registered Consulting Arborist with the American Society of Consulting Arborists since 1994.
Mr. Matranga began Consultation and Professional Evaluation in 1994, along with being an Expert Witness. He performs site visits, assessments, and evaluations; and provides professional information and guidance to clients and attorneys, produces reports, gives depositions and trail testimony.
Most recently, in 2012, Mr. Matranga became Tree Risk Assessment Qualified by the International Society of Arboriculture. He is an Instructor for the Arborist Certification course, where he developed his own material, and is a Lead Estimator and manages multiple work crews. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Professional Tree Care Association of San Diego since 2002.
Mr. Matranga has been an Invited Speaker for California Association of Nurserymen; San Diego County Master Gardeners Home Gardening Seminar; Mira Costa Horticulture Club; San Diego Regional Urban Forest Council; and Professional Tree Care Association of San Diego; among others.
