Stephen F. Hamilton, Ph.D. is an Economics/Economic Damages/Loss Wages Expert Witness. He is the Chair, and a Professor of Economics, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In the Spring of 2011, he was the Visiting Researcher at Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and Toulouse School of Economics.
Dr. Hamilton received his B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies, Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in Major in Environmental Studies from University of California – Santa Barbara. After that, he studied M.S. and Ph.D., both in Agricultural and Resource Economics from University of California – Berkeley.
Dr. Hamilton has consulting experience in the measurement of economic damages, complex litigation, antitrust, market analysis of regulated industries, economic feasibility studies, environmental and land use regulation, forensic economics, groundwater basin management, and portfolio investment modeling.
Dr. Hamilton has done economic damages calculations for about 100 cases, including loss of wages. He has given about 20 depositions and 7-8 court testimonies.
