Structural Engineer Expert. STR-1706 is a structural engineer who has specialized in the design and construction of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete buildings for over thirty years. He has extensive experience in the original design, construction, testing, code development, investigation, teaching, and testimony. He has been personally responsible for the design of over 2000 elevated post-tensioned concrete structures and more than 10,000 residential post-tensioned concrete slabs-on-grade built on expansive soils. He has unique expertise and experience in the retrofit and strengthening of existing buildings using externally applied post-tensioned tendons. Presently, STR-1706 is president of a structural design company.
