Dr. Thomas did an INS/APA Division 40 Specialty Internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at V.A. Medical Center Memphis, TN, where training time in neuropsychology was divided between the V.A. (consultation service provided for psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, rehabilitation medicine and nephrology); and the University of Tennessee (consultation service provided for the regional seizure disorder clinic and a neurology/neurosurgery group).

Dr. Thomas completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship training program in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, Wayne State University Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
His program is listed with the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology.
